Policies

HM-D policies have been designed to offer customers protection, flexibility, and rewards. If you experience any issues with your product or service, please contact us. HM-D policies do not affect your statutory rights.

Warranty Policy

HM-D warranties are unique to various product types in terms of duration and the extent of cover they provide. Warranties may cover the repair or replacement of a product in its entirety, or may cover certain parts of the product. If you intend to repair or alter an HM-D product yourself, please contact us to check if it might impact your warranty. Product warranties are transferrable with the onward sale or transfer of product ownership, but the warranty period will continue to run from the original date of purchase. Please refer to your warranty certificate for details pertaining to your specific product.

Refer a Friend Policy

Existing HM-D customers must register their product in order to enrol in the Refer a Friend scheme. Once registered, the customer will receive their own unique referral code. When they refer a friend to purchase an HM-D product the friend must register the new product and enter the existing customer's unique referral code when prompted. Both existing customer and friend will receive cash-back on the new purchase within 28 days from the date of registration. Only one referral cash-back can be claimed per order, regardless of the number of products purchased within the order. A customer cannot refer themselves using their own referral code.  Returning an item for a refund voids the referral cash-back. The Refer a Friend cash-back will expire if products have not been registered within 90 days of the date of purchase. Regardless of which authorised retail agent the product was purchased through, HM-D transfers cash-back amounts directly to the existing and referred customer. HM-D asks for customers' bank account details during product registration in order to facilitate the cash-back transfer. Cash-backs can not be given when a product is purchased through an unauthorised retail agent.

Multiple Orders Policy

A multiple order occurs when a customer places an order for multiple products of the same type within a single transaction. The first product in the order will not be eligible for a cash-back reward, but all subsequent products will. The customer must register their products in order to redeem the cash-back amount, which will be paid out within 28 days from the date. The Multiple Order cash-back will expire if products have not been registered within 90 days of the date of purchase. Regardless of which authorised retail agent the product was purchased through, HM-D transfers cash-back amounts directly to the end-customer. HM-D asks for customers' bank account details during product registration in order to facilitate the cash-back transfer. The Multiple Order policy can be used in conjunction with the Refer a Friend Policy. Cash-backs can not be given when a product is purchased through an unauthorised retail agent.

Returns Policy

Should a customer change their mind and wish to return an item, HM-D accepts returns in accordance with UK law and dependant on the nature of the HM-D product that was purchased. While returns may be available for off-the-shelf products, returns may not be possible for bespoke, customised or subsequently altered items. When an item is eligible for return an inspection will be conducted to ascertain if the product has been returned in the same condition it was sold, and any monies deducted when appropriate to reflect a decrease in value.

Circular Economy

HM-D strives to perform its role in the circular economy. HM-D believes customers have a right to repair and be given access to spare parts. Altering an HM-D product yourself may affect its warranty, so please contact us to discuss any repair work or upgrades you would like to make to your own product first.

Part Exchange, Buy Back & Disposal

At some stage an HM-D product may no longer fulfil the customer's requirements. The product may have become damaged outside of its warranty and no longer be able to be economically repaired, or the product may have come to the end of its useful life. HM-D will value the product and may offer the customer part-exchange for another product, offer to buy the product back from the customer, or offer to dispose of the product. When products are disposed they are disassembled and their parts are recycled or upcycled where possible.

Terms & Conditions

  • "HM-D" refers to Hall-McLean & De Watts (HM-D) Ltd.

  • HM-D is a UK registered company and complies with UK law.

  • In order to respond to market volatility HM-D sets product prices per quarter, and relays the recommended retail prices to its wholesale and dropship retailers.

  • HM-D transfers cash-back generated by the Refer a Friend and Multiple Order schemes to the end consumer directly. In order to facilitate this, customers must register their products within 90 days of purchase.

  • Customers must purchase HM-D products through an authorised retail agent to be eligible for the Refer a Friend and Multiple Order cash-back schemes, and to make use of the Returns Policy.

  • HM-D asks for customers' bank account details during product registration in order to facilitate the Refer a Friend and Multiple Orders cash-back transfer.

  • HM-D reserves the right to amend or cancel the Refer a Friend and Multiple Orders cash-back schemes at any time. If HM-D will give existing customers and all retail agents 3 months' notice before doing so.
